Adults in Higher Education: A Changing Role. They provide an education of experience to younger students and professors within the institution. Adult students add diversity to the classroom, not only in cultural aspects, but in terms of age group. This unique mixture allows all to learn from each other and leads to greater discussions and ideas produced by students. The Master's Degree in adult and higher education is designed to prepare professionals to assume administrative roles in adult and higher education; become more competitive candidates for leadership positions in adult and higher education; and conduct inquiry which contributes to the practice of.

The Adult and Higher Education (A&HE) program offers three degrees: Master’s of Education, Doctor of Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education. The A&HE graduate program prepares students to work in and/or research both formal and informal educational opportunities beyond traditional Pre-K . The MEd in adult and higher education is a or credit-hour program, depending on your specialization. It is unique among similar programs in Texas for its emphasis on coursework that combines adult education and higher education administration.

EdM Degree. The Adult and Higher Education major offers a Master of Education with an emphasis in workplace and community education. This degree will prepare to work in a variety of settings educating adults.
